2024 DUST CONTROL

 To: ALL R.M. OF CALDERS NO. 241 RATEPAYERS REQUIRING DUST CONTROL FOR THE 2024 SEASON. The R.M. of Calder No. 241 invites all ratepayers requesting Dust control for the 2024 season; please contact the R.M. office by calling prior to May 30th, 2024 to get onto the application listing. There is a fee to the ratepayer requesting the dust control application and costs are depending on the length of the application required and the cost of the fee for the 2024 season. The cost will roughly be about $ 312.00 and taxes for a 328-foot top pass, which is approximately 6-meter top and 100 meters long. We also want to remind all ratepayers that if the municipal road area develops washboard or any kind of hazard, it is essential that the Municipality maintain the road to a driving standard with the municipal grader. The Municipal Councillor of the Division will contact you regarding the matter if there is a concern. 

Grader Operator Employment

Full Time Grader operator & other municipal equipment & various duties.
The R.M. of Calder No. 241 is accepting applications for Full-Time Grader Operator. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Operating and maintaining heavy equipment such as grader, backhoe, tractors, mowers, gravel truck.
• Installing signs, culverts, ect.
• Ability to work with other employees, as well to work alone safely.
• Communication and positivity.
• Communicating with Council, Administration, municipal employees and ratepayers in a positive manner.
The Candidate is required to : • Have a valid class 5 drivers license; But class 3A is preferred. • Operate heavy Equipment.
• Mechanical background and skills.
• Certifications in Power Mobile Equipment, WHIMIS, First Aid, Ground Disturbance and First Aid is an asset; or the candidate would be willing to obtain.
• Be willing to take direction from Council.
